HWBOT World Tour – Poitiers 2017: Tickets on Sale Now

As we draw closer to the end of 2016, we look with optimism and hope toward the new year and the prospect of the HWBOT World Tour 2017. The great news we bring you today is word that tickets are now on sale for the West European leg of the tour which will take at Gamers Assembly in Poitiers, France in mid April. Tickets can now be swept up directly from the Gamers Assembly website with options for both Ambient and Extreme overclockers.

As with all HWBOT World Tour events, the idea is promote overclocking and give it exposure to PC gamers and enthusiasts. The Gamers Assembly event is the ideal opportunity to do that with the event attracting thousands of gamers each year. This year HWBOT will be bringing OC Workshops to Poitiers, giving attendees the chance to learn the basics of CPU overclocking with sessions from seasoned professionals. The center piece of the event however will doubtlessly be Overclocking World Championship Qualifier, an extreme overclocking contest that spans two days. The top prize of course, is a ticket to the World Championship Final at the end of the year.

Poitiers – 2017: Ticket Information

Two types of tickets are available for sale directly from the Gamers Assembly website:

  • A standard €50 entrance ticket is available for individuals who would like to attend the OC Workshops and compete in the Ambient contest.
  • An LN2 Pass is available for €100 for individuals who want access to unlimited LN2 and the OCWC contest. Note: Contest participation is not mandatory.

Overclocking World Championship – Poitiers 2017 Qualifier: April 16th and 17th

On Day 1 competing Overclockers with an LN2 ticket will be given three hours to score as highly as possible on three per-determined benchmarks. The top four Overclockers will proceed to Day 2 of the contest. On Day 2, the top four Overclockers will compete in a series of 1v1 format contests. Semi-Finals will be followed by a Bronze Final and a Grand Final. Benchmarks will be randomly drawn from a pool of six options.
