HWBOT World Tour – Poitiers 2017
Stop number three of the HWBOT World Tour 2017 brings us back to Poitiers, France for Gamers Assembly. As the biggest LAN Party in France, it’s a great opportunity to expose the country’s gamers and PC enthusiasts to the world of Overclocking. The Poitiers 2017 event will include Overclocking Workshops plus competitive Overclocking contests for both Ambient and Extreme overclockers.

The HWBOT World Tour –Poitiers 2017 event at Gamers Assembly will feature the following core activities:
- Overclocking Workshops plus Ambient Overclocking Contest
- Overclocking World Championship Qualifier
- Overclocking Gathering
Overclocking Workshops plus Ambient OC Contest: April 15th – 16th
As with all HWBOT world Tour events, a primary objective is to promote Overclocking to a new audience of PC gamers. To this end the Poitiers 2017 event will include two days when attendees in France have the opportunity get hands on, learn the basics and and even compete in an online Ambient contest. PCs will be available with experienced French overclockers giving workshop sessions to show how easy it can be to improve overall system performance. Visitors who make a submission in the Ambient contest will be invited to join the Ambient Finals where prizes are available for the winners.
Overclocking World Championship – Poitiers 2017 Qualifier: April 16th and 17th
Extreme Overclockers from the European OC community will have the chance to compete in the Overclocking World Championship Qualifier contest.Winners have the chance to compete for some great prizes, including the grand prize of a ticket to the Overclocking World Championship Final at the end of the year – and a chance to compete for the crown of Overclocking World Champion 2017.
Competing Overclockers will be given three hours to score as highly as possible on three per-determined benchmarks. The top four Overclockers will proceed to Day 2 of the contest. On Day 2, the top four Overclockers will compete in a series of 1v1 format contests. Semi-Finals will be followed by a Bronze Final and a Grand Final. Benchmarks will be randomly drawn from a pool of six options.
Note: Information about motherboards, memory and processor limitations for the contest will be announced at a later date.
Overclocking Gathering / Freestyle OC
Overclockers who simply want access to LN2 and the chance to meet and mingle with other like-minded people can also buy a ticket to the event and get involved. The OC Gathering is an awesome opportunity to put meet up with other members of the French OC scene.
The event will be structured according to the following schedule:
- April 14th: Overclockers can setup and preparing their benching stations (doors open 6pm)
- April 15th: OC Workshop | Free LN2 Overclocking
- April 16th :OC Workshop | Overclocking World Championship – Poitier 2017 Qualifier (1pm-4pm)
- April 17th : Ambient Finals | Overclocking World Championship – Poitier 2017 Finals (1pm-5pm)
(Note: This is a preliminary schedule and is subject to change).
Please note that this a BYOC (Bring Your Own Computer) event. Extreme Overclockers, including those competing in the OCWC Qualifier contest, will have to bring their own PSU, Keyboard, Mouse, Monitor, Powerbar and other Overclocking equipment.

- A standard €50 entrance ticket is available for individuals who would like to attend the OC Workshops and compete in the Ambient contest.
- An LN2 Pass is available for €100 for individuals who want access to unlimited LN2 and the OCWC contest. Note: Contest participation is not mandatory.
